The joy and splendor of travel lost on one man

Here We Go Again.

Pam, Rae and I are heading off to Vietnam in ten hours, and you know what that means: Goodbye, potable water. Hello, useless blog posts. At least now the picture on the home page will make sense.

We’re going to be traveling for about three-and-a-half weeks. Stops will include Hoi An, Hue, Quy Nhon, and finally Ho Chi Minh City, where we will visit Rae’s orphanage. (Let the emotional scarring begin! Sorry. I meant, “Let the emotional scarring continue!”)

We’re excited and anxious. It should be a good trip, assuming United Airlines doesn’t bump us off all our international flights like they did nine hours ago.

Check back here when you’re bored. I’ll try to update as much as I can.

    Thanks everybody.

Jen, you’re serving potable water now?!

Lee, you should skip this piece of trash and check out Kathryn & Gary’s blog. Sounds like they’re an Anderson Cooper exposé just waiting to happen.

No, I am not serving potable water now. (Please don’t ruin my reputation by spreading that rumor.) I will collecting water from the river, as usual, but will put extra effort in chilling your Newcastle. Love to Pam and Rae!

Bon Voyage! We’re in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt right now, having just been escorted here by an armed convoy (not kidding). We’ll be reading your blog with enthusiasm and will compare memories and mishaps when we all return. Be safe and have fun!
